The fossil fuel giant's launch on Tuesday of a massive EV charging location signals another force at work in the buildout of Electric Vehicle infrastructure in the U.S.

Petroleum company BP’s EV charging unit in the U.S., bp Pulse, on Tuesday launched its first U.S.-based “Gigahub” - a massive, 24-port charging station outside Houston that marks the fossil-fuel giant’s biggest site to date.
